We have tried to anticipate the problems encountered by working parents. We realize that your older children need to have supervision so that you can have peace of mind at work. Our Before and After School Programs have been developed to meet those needs of working parents with children ages 5 to 12. Our programs supplement the child's regular school hours by offering morning care, at which time breakfast is offered, and afternoon care. *

Rainbow is one of the few Centers that has TWO SEPARATE CLASSROOMS for school-age children ONLY. The Teradactyle classroom is designed for children ages 5 to 6 years of age and the Barracuda classroom accomodates children 7 years old and up. Your school-agers will not have to share space with preschoolers, consequently, your school-ager will not have to try to adapt to an environment that was designed for children younger than themselves.

We feel that since your child has spent approximately 6 hours of their day working, a recreational based program is in order. After their afternoon snack, the children are free to choose their activities from a variety of selections: outdoor play, sports in the gym, dramatics, arts and crafts, dancing, foosball, board games, PlayStation, individually selected “fun” learning activities, stories or quiet time.

Our MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM is also available for the children to participate in basketball and other sports activities. The soft-surfaced flooring has been installed with safety in mind and is very conducive to water-play. Yes, we can even accomodate our 21 foot water slide! Our school-agers particularly enjoy this activity during Christmas break.

The fun does not stop here. Our school-agers also have access to our THEATRE which houses a 4 x 8 movie screen with surround sound. The children also have the capability to preform skits on our Theatre's stage.

Baking projects are even more fun to do in our CHILDREN'S BAKERY. During the summer the children plant, grow, weed and harvest produce from their GARDEN and prepare the fruits of their harvest in the bakery.

If you wish for your child to do homework at Rainbow, our COMPUTER LAB is available for your school-ager to have a quiet place to concentrate on their assignments.

NO NEED TO FEAR HOLIDAY OR INSTITUTE DAYS. Rainbow provides full day supervision on school holidays, institute days, as well as during Christmas and Spring breaks. Special activities and field trips are planned for these special days.

Summer Camp

SUMMER CAMP provides fun, hands-on, learning experiences for campers during June, July and August. All camps enjoy weekly cook-outs, water play days, trips to local parks, arts and crafts and field trips to exciting locations.

Our campers are grouped by age and ability. All field trips and camp activities are age appropriate. The extensive planning and scheduling of camp activities insure that your child will not only have the best summer ever, but will have fond memories of their past summer experiences!

Ladybug Camp: Four year olds

Dragonfly Camp: Pre-Kindergarten

Teradactyle Camp: Kindergarten and 1^st grade

Barracuda Camp: 2^nd grade and up

We believe summer should be fun and we do everything we can to ensure that summer is exactly that!
