TECHNOLOGY AND SAFETY

CAMERAS: Cameras have been installed in each classroom and on the playgrounds for added security.

ATTENDANCE TRACKING: We have child attendance tracking through a computer network. Parents simply sign their children in and out of the Center on our touch screen monitors by entering their exclusive code into the computer. The attendance tracker provides us with a reliable way to know how many children we have in the Center at any one time for safety purposes.

CODED BUILDING ENTRANCE: Entrance into the building is only possible by keying in a code.

PLAYGROUNDS: Because we have two separate playgrounds, we are able to provide equipment that is age appropriate for the different age groups.

Both playgrounds have a rubberized surface installed to prevent injuries, a deck area for picnics and a grassy area to encourage nature exploration.

FIRE DRILLS: Rainbow children and staff practice fire drills on a monthly basis. We can evacuate 250 children in less than 1½ minutes!!

TORNADO DRILLS: Rainbow children and staff practice tornado drills on a monthly basis during the spring, summer and fall months. The weather outside may be frightful, but the children are nestled safely in our Theatre watching the latest Disney movie.

REGULATORY AGENCIES: Our facility is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services, regulated by the DuPage County Health Department and approved by the Fire Marshall of the State of Illinois and the Carol Stream Fire Dept. Our Center is fully equipped with a sprinkler system, smoke detectors, and a fire alarm which transmits alarm signals to the Carol Stream Fire Department.
