The focal point of our town setting, located in the center of our facility is the PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE. The theatre is used for a number of learning experiences.
Our theatre is equipped with a stage for play productions and a separate puppet show theatre.
Dramatic play encourages children to think creatively and develop their imaginations. It teaches them to think alone. It helps them to develop self-esteem. They learn about social cooperation and group interaction. Children learn how to perform together and release their emotions.
Dramatic play activities increase children’s vocabulary and encourage oral expression. Through dramatic play, children develop an understanding of how different roles are an integral part in making a family or community work.
THE CAPABILITY TO VIEW EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINMENT MOVIES
The Performing Arts Theatre also houses a 4 foot x 8 foot projection screen for educational and entertainment viewing. The projection screen can also be used to show commercials and skits produced and directed by the children.
Directly outside the theatre is a café setting with child size wrought iron café tables and chairs. The children often eat their snacks or lunches that they made in the Bakery or picked from their garden.
